AREA OBITUARIES -- JUNE KLEIN

Mattie June Wright Brawner Klein, age 86, passed away on February 11th, 2022 at her home in Dallas, Georgia. June was born August 6, 1935 in Fulton, Kentucky to the late Grover Cleveland Wright and the late Cammie Helen Darnell.
June was an amazing and talented woman. June worked as a cosmetology instructor for 20+ years at Marietta Cobb Vocational Technical School, now known as Chattahoochee Technical College. She was a beautiful woman who shared her knowledge of beauty to many women throughout her career of teaching. After the passing of her first husband, Ret. Major James Edward Brawner, she married the late Harold Dean Klein, a retired Marine Corps Captain. Harold and June would spend the next 39 years of marriage, traveling and making many memories, many on cruise ships. June would often say, “I loved those men in military uniform.” She loved her family with all of her heart and enjoyed spending time with them.
June was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, as well as a friend to many. Her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. June said it best when she said, “Here’s to us and those like us, which are damn few.”
Ms. June Brawner Klein was preceded in death by her 14 brothers and sisters; John ‘Boy’ Wright, Connie Lee ‘Monk’ Wright, Doris May Holly, Gladys Virginia Evans, Mary Nell Howell, Martha Lucille Simpson, Betty Jean Perkins, Carolyn ‘Ida’ Work, Billy Wright, Grover Cleveland Wright, Jimmy Wayne Wright, and Wayman and Mattie Louise, both who died before the age of 2.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at twelve o’clock in the chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. A burial service will be held following the funeral service at Pine Ridge Memorial Park in Kennesaw, Georgia. June asked many times for us to have a Celebration of Life upon her passing, so after the burial, on the grounds at the Pine Ridge Memorial Park in the white Guest House at back of the park, we will have a Celebration of Her Life, so come hungry, thirsty, ready to hear and tell stories about June. A phrase she said she wants on her foot stone was “I have been to all 50 states, but now I am in the best state of all” and that is where she will remain.
