Work zone in place from 8 a.m., to 1 p.m.
PADUCAH, Ky. (March 7, 2022) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to restrict southbound traffic to one lane on the Julian Carroll-Purchase Parkway in Fulton County on Wednesday, March 9, 2022.
This work zone for the southbound lanes of the Purchase Parkway near the 1 mile marker is to allow shoulder repairs at the end of the KY 166 Overpass.
Southbound motorists traveling the Purchase Parkway should be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they approach this work zone about 1 mile north of the Kentucky-Tennessee State Line at Fulton. All traffic will move to the right-hand or driving lane in this work zone.
This work zone is expected to be active from approximately 8 a.m., to about 1 p.m., CST, on Wednesday.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
There will be no impact on northbound traffic at this site.
Approximately 10,000 vehicles travel this section of the Purchase Parkway in an average day.
