DOING THEIR PART

Cayce residents started on the north side of Hwy. 94 March 5 at the community’s four-way stop and headed west, raking debris, using wheelbarrows and tractors to move piles roadside for pick-up, part of the aftermath of the Dec. 10 tornadoes which occurred in the area. The group took a break for lunch at Cayce Baptist Church before heading back out for more clean-up in the afternoon. Land Betterment Corporation began moving “Villages of Hope” container homes, above, for some Cayce residents March 8. The temporary home is furnished and includes a kitchen and bathroom. Fulton County Road Department employees were on hand to help off load the home from the trailer used to haul it to Cayce. (Photos by Barbara Atwill)
