COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP
The Twin Cities Restoration Foundation coordinated their second community wide clean-up May 21, with a large group of volunteers on hand to go out into Fulton and South Fulton neighborhoods, equipped with bags, gloves and safety gear. "We had Churches, community civic clubs and citizens pick up 80 bags of trash, one toilet, one couch, and one recliner in the community. I still believe days like this make our community a better place and it shows community pride," said Kenney Etherton, president of the Twin Cities Restoration Foundation. Etherton also expressed appreciation to the Fulton County Transit Authority for providing transportation to the area of the community being cleaned. The Restoration foundation encourages other organizations to take a day and spend a few hours cleaning up areas of the Twin Cities community. Fulton City Manager Mike Gunn and South Fulton City Manager Joyce Gray have agreed to work with any volunteer group or organization who expresses interest in conducting a clean-up day.
