AREA OBITUARIES -- ANNABELL BONDURANT WHIPPLE AREA OBITUARIES -- ANNABELL BONDURANT WHIPPLE

Annabell Bondurant Whipple of Conway, Ark., went to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 2, 2022.

Annabell was born on April 17, 1948 to the late Judge John C. Bondurant and Doris Bell Bondurant of Hickman, Ky. She is preceded in death by her husband, James “Jimmy” Whipple Jr., also of Hickman.

She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Melanie Foley Smith and son-in-law, Dr. Scott Smith; granddaughters Avery and Ainsley Smith; sister Amb. Amy Bondurant Dunn (David); and sisterLucy Bondurant Wilson (Max).

She was a 1966 graduate of Fulton County High School. She attended UT Martin, where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Social Sorority, as was her mother. She then attended Southern Illinois University, and later graduated from Utah State University.

Over the years, Ann worked in teaching, nursing, and real estate, as she achieved her BS in Nursing from UT Martin, and subsequently earned her real estate license.

Ann enjoyed watching old movies, reading the Bible and Christian literature, working puzzles, and spending time with her family. She was inspired by the teachings of Charles Stanley with In Touch Ministries.

Avery and Ainsley were her pride and joy, and she loved to hear Melanie sing.

Ann always wore a smile and had a positive outlook on life. She loved to laugh and had a good sense of humor. Ann was a very self-sufficient, determined person and liked to be busy. She was the giver of wise counsel. She was always a lady.

Ann was a strong Christian and believed firmly in the power of prayer. Her family knows that she is rejoicing with her Lord and Savior.

Her service of remembrance will be held at Strong Funeral Home in Hickman, Ky. on Sunday, June 5, at 1 p.m. with Bro. Tom Quimby offciating. Burial to follow in the Hickman City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her son-in-law, Dr. Scott Smith, brother-in-laws David Dunn, Max Wilson, her nephews, David Bondurant Dunn and John Max Wilson, and Dr. Patrick Stooksberry
