Attempt made to locate assault suspect at Fulton housing complex

According to Fulton Police Department Assistant Chief of Police Allen Poole, on June 27, the Fulton Police Department investigated a reported felony assault that occurred at 501 Harding Court in Fulton, Ky.

The victim in the case reported that James Jones had assaulted her during the night and had possibly broken her arm.

The victim informed the investigating officers that the subject was armed and made statements that he would kill her and law enforcement if she contacted the police.

Due to these factors, the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department Special Response Team was contacted, and they responded to assist.

MCSO’s SRT entered the residence, and it was determined that Jones had fled before officers had arrived. Jones is wanted for probation violation out of the state of Tennessee and on a warrant for second, degree assault issued out of Fulton County.
