Lady Pilots sweep Lady Falcons

The Fulton County High School Lady Pilots’ volleyball team was able to secure their first two wins of the season in a doubleheader versus Lake County, Tenn., but dropped games versus Ballard Memorial, Carlisle County, Calloway County, and South Fulton.

The Lady Pilots finished off the sweep in the double header against the hosting Lady Falcons Aug. 30, winning in two sets 25-18 and 25-9.

Hannah Emmons led the team with six kills, followed by Arieyanna Cox and Abigail Emmons with two each, and Porterfield one. Hannah Emmons also recorded the team’s only block.

Abigail Emmons had seven of the team’s nine assists, followed by Porterfield and Catarina Barnett with one each.

Barnett had a team-high seven service aces, followed by Porterfield with five, Hannah Emmons with four, and Harrison, Cox, and Abigail Emmons with one each.

In the first match of a doubleheader against the Lady Falcons, the Lady Pilots won in two sets, 25-11 and 25-14.

Hannah Emmons had three kills, followed by Harrison and Cox with two each, and Abigail Emmons with one. Hannah Emmons also had one block.

Abigail Emmons recorded all seven of the Lady Pilots’ assists.

Harrison led the team with seven service aces, followed by Hannah Emmons and Barnett with four each, and Cox and Abigail Emmons with two each.

The Lady Pilots hosted the Lady Lakers Aug. 29, but lost in three sets: 25-13, 25-9 and 25-12.

Hannah Emmons recorded all five kills for the Lady Pilots, while Abigail Emmons had the lone block on the evening.

Harrison recorded the only two assists, and Camille Hendrix led the team with two digs, followed by Porterfield, Barnett and Harrison with one each.

The Lady Pilots had five service aces, led by Harrison and Abigail Emmons with two each, and Barnett with one.

Carlisle Co. 2

In their second game of the Comet Classic Aug. 27, the Lady Pilots were swept by the host Lady Comets in two sets: 25-7 and 25-15.

Hannah Emmons led the team in kills with four, followed by Porterfield, TyAirriah Freeman and Cox with one each.

Harrison recorded all five assists, while Abigail Emmons had the lone dig in the match.

Ballard Memorial 2

In the first match of the Comet Classic for the Lady Pilots, they were defeated in two sets by the Lady Bombers: 25-12 and 25-10.

Hannah Emmons recorded three kills, followed by Harrison with two and Porterfield with one.

Only two Lady Pilots recorded assists, as Harrison had three and Hannah Emmons one. Hannah Emmons also tallied the lone dig for the Lady Pilots.

Three service aces were recorded, as Hannah Emmons had two and Barnett one.
