Hickman Co. Business, Industry Dinner set Nov. 20
The 2018 Hickman County Business and Industry Appreciation Dinner will be held Nov. 20, in the activities building at Columbus-Belmont State Park. This annual event is a celebration, showcasing new community projects and new businesses, all resulting from new commitment and investments by many organizations, families and individuals working together to improve and make a positive difference in Hickman County. The evening’s event will culminate in the naming of the 2018 Citizen of the Year, who will be introduced by 2017 Citizen of the Year, Betty Crisp.
“Thanksgiving week seems to be such an appropriate time for our annual banquet,” stated Kenny Wilson, Hickman County Judge Executive. “With so many things going on in the world, we are reminded how thankful we are for the county and community in which we live. We have so many things to be thankful for, and believe the coming new year may bring even more new opportunities and blessings for us as we continue to work together,” he continued.
The dinner is sponsored by the Hickman County Economic Development Authority, Inc., Clinton Bank, First Community Bank of the Heartland, River Valley Ag Credit and the Clinton-Hickman County Chamber of Commerce. Tickets for the banquet are $15 and may be purchased at the office of the Hickman County Judge Executive or in the office of any of the sponsors.
The public is invited to attend and should purchase a ticket no later than Nov. 16.
“The Hickman County Economic Development Authority board of directors is proud to continue sponsoring, planning and organizing this annual event,” stated Greg Pruitt, HCEDA Executive Director. “The Awards Committee tells me every year what a difficult task they have because so many are doing so much to improve and make better our county. This year was no different, and we all are looking forward to important new developments we believe are just around the corner. We hope everyone will join us in our Thanksgiving for our past and present blessings, as well as in our hopes and expectations for new opportunities,” he continued.
