Hickman Pecan Festival includes all day events

Hickman Recreation Tourism Convention Commission will hold their Pecan Festival Oct. 22, at Jeff Green Memorial Park on Bernal Avenue, in Hickman, from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Festivities begin with opening prayer by Richard Holloway at 10 a.m.

Activities will include 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. – Bingo and Health Fair; 10:15 – 10:30 a.m. – Welcome and Announcements; 10:45 – 11:00 a.m. – Entertainment by Samella Wilkins; 11:00 – 11:45 a.m. – Magic Show!; 11:45 – 12:00 p.m. – CaPree Johnson; 11:00 – 3:00 p.m. – Belle, Mickey Mouse, Olaf, and Spiderman will be available for pictures and autographs; 12:00 – 12:15 p.m. – Winners will be announced for the Bake-Off, Bingo Grand Prize, Scarecrow contest, Pecan Festival Ambassador and Pecan Festival Junior Ambassador.

12:15 – 12:45 – Entertainment by Robert Goodman; 12:45 – 1:15 p.m. – Entertainment by Little Cheer and FCMS Cheerleaders; 1:15 – 1:45 p.m. Entertainment by Mighty Warriors; 1:45 – 2:00 p.m. – Entertainment by Robert Goodman; 2:00. – 2:30 p.m. – Magic Show!; 3:00 – 3:45 – Costume Parade; 3:45 – 4:5 – Entertainment by Mighty Warriors;

4:15 – 4:45 p.m. – Pie Eating Contest; 4:45 – 5:00 p.m. – Turning Point Youth Group; 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Entertainment by Bootcut; 5:30 – 5:45 p.m. – Carved Pumpkin Drop Off; 6:00 – 6:15 p.m. – Pumpkin Judging; 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. – Foam Party; 7:15 – 7:45 p.m. – Entertainment by Austin Cunningham; and 8:00 – 10:00 p.m. – Entertainment by Overwatch.

Over 40 vendors have signed up to participate in this year’s Pecan Festival including food trucks, crafts, school organizations, and more.

Parking will be at the old Gibson Electric Warehouse with visitors being pick up and transported to the park.
