AREA OBITUARIES -- MELVA JO RUMFELT

Mrs. Melva Jo Rumfelt, 85, of Hickman went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 22, 2022.

She was born on August 19, 1937 in Union City, TN to the late Milton “Stovie” and Johnnie (Townsend) Ballow. She was retired from the Citizens Bank in Hickman and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Arlie Dick, Sr., second husband, Joe Rumfelt, and son, Dan Dick.

She is survived by her son, Arlie Dick, Jr. of Hickman, her brother Jack (Freda) Ballow of Melber, Ky.; and niece, Christy Graves of South Fulton, Tenn.

Melva Jo loved her family, church and friends. She will be missed.

A graveside service for Mrs. Melva Jo Rumfelt will be held on October 26, 2022 at 12:00 p.m., at the Hickman City Cemetery with Bro. Tom Quimby officiating. Burial will follow.

Family and friends are to meet at the Hickman City Cemetery prior to service time on October 26, 2022.

James Coffey, Ben Coffey, Hugh Caldwell, and Joe Kemp Johnson will serve as pallbearers.

In Lieu of Flowers memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church, 205 E. Moulton St., Hickman, KY 42050.
