Rural Partnership Network, RPN public forum scheduled in Fulton Nov. 16-17 postponed

The Fulton County Rural Partnership Network (RPN) Federal Convening and public forum, previously scheduled for Nov. 16-17 in Fulton has been postponed.

According to a press release issued from Rural Partners Network- Kentucky, Rural Development- Mayfield Field Office, U.S. Department of Agriculture, some federal partners have encountered travel constraints due to operating under a Continuing Resolution, and "These partners are essential to the success of the RPN and we need them to be at the table at the convening."

A future date in 2023 will be set and all those that registered will be notified. The groundwork for that event is now being planned.

TEARING DOWN WALLS TO BUILD UP COMMUNITY – On location at Fulton’s Fourth Street house construction April 9, built on April 8, using the SIP construction method, were Brenda Weaver, Community Ventures, Eric Couts, Master SIP Builder, Fulton City Manager Mike Gunn, FHCEDP President Mark Welch and Fulton County Judge/ Executive Jim Martin. Welch noted “a house is where jobs sleep” and applauded the receipt of grant funding through USDA, the Rural Partners Network and Kentucky Housing, to create more housing opportunities in the local area. Gunn expressed appreciation to Fulton Code Enforcement Officer Nathan Lamb, for his efforts in demolishing 83 dilapidated houses over the past few years, to make way for new construction.
