AREA OBITUARIES -- STEVEN RAY BURGESS

Mr. Steven Ray Burgess, age 76, of South Futon, Tenn. passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at his residence.

He was born on November 12, 1946 in Las Vegas, Nev. to the late Walter Lyod Burgess and Patricia GaliatBurgess.

Steven was a member of The People Place Assembly of God in South Fulton and was a United States Navy veteran. He worked for the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Union City, Tenn. as a tire builder and had worked for the former Ferry-Morse Seed Company.

He is survived by his children: Jennifer Burgess and Jason Burgess both of South Fulton, a grandchild Christian Burgess of Martin, Tenn., two great-grandchildren: Tobias Jobe and Blake Jobe both of Union City, Tenn. and a sister, Sandy Taylorof Washington, D.C.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Bobbie Jean Whitworth Burgess and a sister, Cindy Burgess.

Memorial services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, December 31, 2022 at The People Place Assembly of God. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 AM Saturday until the hour of service.
