November 13, 2018

According to a press release issued by the Fulton Police Department Nov. 12, the Fulton County Grand Jury has returned an indictment for former City of Fulton Code Enforcement Officer Bobby Keith Curlin, for charges of second degree arson, nine counts of first degree wanton endangerment, one count of first degree criminal mischief and one count of first degree official misconduct.

The Grand Jury convened on Nov. 8.

Curlin’s indictment comes after a five month investigation into a suspicious structure fire at 805 Walnut St. in Fulton.

During the investigation, according to the FPD, evidence was discovered that indicated Curlin had set the fire which destroyed the house at that address, and damaged an adjacent house as well.

Curlin, of Fulton, was also indicted July 12 for tampering with a witness and menacing following contact he made with a witness in the investigation, in an attempt to affect her testimony in the case.

Following his arrest, Curlin was released on $1,500 cash bond.
