AREA OBITUARIES - MARY KAUFMAN

Mary Burke Kaufman, 97, of Hickman, Ky., passed away 7:10 a.m. Monday, January 23, 2023, at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 p.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hickman. Father Robert Drury will officiate. Burial will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Joe Burke, Jeff Burke, Jacob Harrison, Jay Williams, Eric Meshew and Erick Lattus.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mary was born June 28, 1925, in Cedar Hill, Tennessee, daughter of the late Thomas Henry and Ora (Crawford) Burke. She married Raymond Kaufman November 23, 1957. He preceded her in death January 29, 1981. Mary was a retired bookkeeper and homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hickman.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Barry Harrison of Hickman, Kentucky; two sons, David Kaufman and Richard Kaufman both of Hickman, Kentucky; her son-in-law, Jim Williams of Hardin, Kentucky; three grandchildren and their spouses, Jill and Eric Meshew of Clinton, Kentucky, Jay and Keri Williams of Parrish, Florida and Jacob and Jada Harrison of Hickman, Kentucky; four great grandchildren, Hailey Meshew, Kylie Meshew and Maddie Kate Meshew all of Clinton, Kentucky and Abby Harrison of Hickman, Kentucky; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Agnes Kaufman Williams; two sisters, Marjorie Burke and Rubye Page; and two brothers, Tom Burke and Dan Burke.
