Red Devils defeat Falcons in OT, fall to Tornadoes; games continue for SFHS

The South Fulton Red Devils had to defeat the Lake County, Tenn. Falcons Feb. 12 to continue their 2018-2019 basketball season.

After four quarters of basketball the Red Devils were tied with the Falcons at 53 points sending the game into overtime. The Red Devils were able to finish the game on top 63-61.

Brock Brown contributed 38 points for the Red Devils. Brown hit 12 of his 13 free throws along with seven field goals and four three point baskets. Brown had a total of 11 rebounds for the night.

Bryce McFarland hit four field goals, three three point baskets for a total of 17 points.

Beau Britt had seven points coming from three field goals and one free throw.

Eli Carlisle had one point.

The Red Devils had to play the Union City, Tenn. Tornadoes Feb. 15.

The Red Devils fell to the Tornadoes 66-48.

McFarland had 18 points. McFarland hit seven field goals and one three point basket along with one free throw.

Brown had 17 points which came from five field goals, one three point basket, and hit six free throws.

Blake Johnson hit a field goal and three free throws for a total of five points.

Rider Whitehead and Jalen Cross each had three points. Beau Britt had two points.

This loss forced the Red Devils to play the Greenfield Yellow Jackets, as the Red Devils came up short 62-55.

McFarland hit a field goal, six three point baskets, and a free throw for a total of 21 points.

Johnson had 14 points coming from two field goals, three three point baskets and one free throw.

Brown had 13 points. Brown hit two threes, three field goals, and one free throw.

Britt had five points and Eli Carlisle had two points.

The Red Devils will continue play Friday or Saturday evening, matching up against the winner of the Feb. 19 Trenton versus Humboldt game.
