BANANA PUDDING COOKOFF FOR NON-PROFITS TASTE-TESTED BY OVER 100; WINNERS RECEIVE FUNDS FOR NON-PROFITS

September 19, 2019

In a first time event for the Banana Festival, Melanie Gunn chaired the Banana Pudding Cook-off for non-profits, with groups invited to cook their best pudding for the public, and provide samples to those who made a $5 donation. There were 10 groups who participated in the competition this year, with Ken-Tenn Food Bank placing first, Fulton County Kindergarten, second and St. Edward Catholic Church, third. All participating non-profits split the $5 donations from the door, and then those who taste-tested voted for their favorite pudding, using dollars contributed to each team's money container. The winner was the team which received the most money in their container, from votes cast.
