Christmas in the Park

December 09, 2019

Christmas In The Park, sponsored by the Fulton Tourism Commission was held Dec. 7 in Pontotoc Park, beginning with the dedication of a new Christmas tree displayed at the Pontotoc Park fountain, illuminated by Debbie Gambill, the widow of the late John Gambill, who was instrumental in the Tourism Board providing the community tree. Fulton Mayor David Prater welcomed the large group in attendance, as they viewed a fireworks display following the tree lighting. Members of the Fulton Independent Schools choir provided Christmas selections, and Karen Dean coordinated a Story Walk through the park path. The Twin Cites Men's Organization staged a chili supper in the Pontotoc building with proceeds going toward the shopping trip for area children, and Santa, Rudolph, the Grinch, Frosty, Mrs. Claus and the Elves were on hand to visit with children.
