Banana barkers bring bright spot to Festival

There were 12 entries in the Sept. 15 Banana Festival Doggy Pageant held on the Pontotoc stage at 2 p.m. In addition to the first place winners pictured, others who placed included Jax and Micah King, second place in attire; third place, Missy and Phyllis McKelvey. Second place in the talent category went to Buttercup and David Branch, and third, Leo and Jessica Crass. Second place in the beauty category went to Leo and Crass and third place, Asia Ray and Meleah Sturgeon.
