HCHS Lady Falcons Shootout runner-up

Hickman County’s Lady Falcons were first runner-up in the Lady Warrior Shootout at Community Christian Academy Dec. 29.

The Lady Falcons began the tournament with a win against the St. Mary Lady Vikings Dec. 28 with a final score of 69-31.

In the game against St. Mary, Hickman County’s Akacia Taylor was the lead scorer with 18 points, making five three-pointers. Alexis Bartolo scored 17 points with three three-point field goals. Leigh Ann Jones scored 15 points. Rancey Skaggs made three three-point field goals for nine points. Also, contributing to the scoreboard were Jacey Rushing with six points, Kadey Wilkey with two points, and Byassee with two points.

The leading scorer for the Lady Vikings was Chiara Doran with 18 points.

In their next game of the tournament, the Lady Falcons defeated Community Christian Academy Dec. 29 with a final score of 72-24.

The highest score for Hickman County was Akacia Taylor who made four three-pointers and a scored 17 total points. Alexis Bartolo was close behind with 16 points. Kadey Wilkey scored 12 points. Rancey Skaggs scored nine points with three three-point field goals. Jones scored six points, Byassee scored four points, Rushing scored three points, Harris and Lewinter each added two points, and Wesley scored one point to contribute to the win for the Lady Falcons.

The leading scorer for Community Christian Academy was Alaya Murphy with 11 points.

The Lady Falcons advanced to the championship game against Carlisle County Lady Comets Dec. 29 and were defeated with a final score of 47-35.

In that game, the leading scorer for Hickman County was Leigh Ann Jones with 12 points. Akacia Taylor and Jacey Rushing each scored six points for the Lady Falcons. Kadey Wilkey scored five points. Rancey Skaggs and Alexis Bartolo scored three points each to add to the scoreboard for Hickman County.

The leading scorer for the Lady Comets was Landry Crider with 15 points.
