States of Emergency declared across Fulton County
In response to the Covid-19 Pandemic, Fulton County, the City of Fulton and the City of Hickman have declared States of Emergency in their respective jurisdictions.
In a joint statement, Fulton County Judge/Executive Jim Martin, Fulton Mayor David Prater and Hickman Mayor Heath Carlton stated that the declaration is effective at 4 p.m. March 18 and shall continue until the Coronavirus no longer presents a threat to the citizens of Fulton County.
Under various subsections of KRS 39A.100 officials are given the authority and responsibility to protect the health and safety of the citizens of their jurisdictions and to continue providing essential public services. The emergency declaration paves the way for local jurisdictions to request state and federal aid as well as streamlines procurement procedures for goods and services.
In addition to the declaration announcement, be aware that all county and city offices will be closed to face-to-face services, but will still be open for business. They will be accessible only by drive-thru facilities, email or telephone. If you have business to conduct, the various offices can be reached at the following phone numbers: Fulton City Hall, 270-472-1320; Hickman City Hall, 270-236-2535; County Judge/Executive, 270-236-2594; County Emergency Management, 270-236-3480; Fulton County Sheriff, 270-236-2545; Fulton County PVA, 270-236-2548; Fulton County Clerk, 270-236-2727; and Fulton County Dispatch, 270-236-3015.
