American Legion Meeting

Marshall Alexander Post 72 American Legion and Auxiliary’s June meeting will be held June 16 at 6 p.m. at the Carr Street Community Center. Members may wear masks if they choose, and all members will be asked to practice social distancing. A meal of sandwiches, chips and drinks will be served. The meal will be followed by short meetings of both the Legion and Auxiliary. All members are strongly urged to attend since this is our last meeting until September.

SFMS/HS Award Pick-up

According to South Fulton Middle/High School Principal Kimberly Jackson, students who have not already picked up any award certificates or medals earned for the 2019-2020 school year through drive-through or other presentations, may have parents pick up awards in the high school office over the Summer break.

Arts Council

The Hickman County Arts Council meets the fourth Monday of each month at 4 p.m. at The Young Center in Clinton. The public is invited to attend. The website is www.hickmancoarts.com.

Foodbank Distribution

Ken-Tenn Foodbank, 212 Carr St. in Fulton, will distribute commodities to Fulton County Seniors, CSFP, living in poverty, June 19 from 10-11 a.m. Distribution to Fulton County households living in poverty, TEFAP, will be June 26, from 10-11 a.m. Poverty, on a temporary basis, has now been defined as a maximum allowable income per month for individuals, at $1,968 per month, to receive commodities from the Ken-Tenn Foodbank.

Hickman Co. Museum

Hours of operation for the Hickman County Museum, in Clinton, are Wednesdays from 1-4 p.m.

Mission House

The Mission House, in Clinton is open Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and the first Saturday of each month.

Storehouse Ministries

Storehouse Ministries, 311 Main St., Fulton, is now open 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays to anyone who may be in need of food and clothes. Everything is free.

Nar-Anon Group

Nar-Anon Family Group is a support group for family and friends affected by someone’s addiction to drugs or alcohol. The group meets at 6:30 p.m. every Tuesday, at First Baptist Church, 115 Second Street, Fulton. Contact 731-335-5333 for more information.

Hickman Co. Commodities

The Mission House, in Clinton, distributes CSFP (cheese) commodities monthly to Hickman County residents 60 years and over, who meet the income guidelines and are pre-registered. Pick up dates are Thursday and Friday after the third Tuesday of each month.

The Coffee Shop

The Coffee Shop, in the back of the Willingham Center, Carr Street, Fulton, is open Mondays and Thursdays 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Coffee and pastries are served, along with fellowship, and donations are accepted for local mission projects. The public is invited.

AA Meetings

Alcoholics Anonymous meets at the First United Methodist Church in Clinton each Monday at 8 p.m.

FUMC Celebrate Recovery

The First United Methodist Church, 200 Carr St., Fulton, hosts Celebrate Recovery each Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. Dinner is served, worship and small groups are available for those who attend and child care is provided. For more information, call 270-472-3514.

Parkway Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery is held every Thursday morning at 10 a.m. at Parkway Church of Christ, at 1301 Middle Rd., in Fulton; and every Monday from 6 - 7:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Clinton.
