FULTON COUNTY DEPUTIES MAKE TRAFFIC STOP, DRUG-RELATED ARREST

Fulton County Sheriff’s Deputies Austin Matheny and Brandon Mayo conducted a traffic stop on Highway 94 just past Sassafras Ridge on Nov. 15.

During the traffic stop one ounce of suspended marijuana, and 1.7 ounces of suspected crystal methamphetamine were discovered.

The driver 30 year old Darrius Freeman of Hickman was arrested.

A search warrant was applied for and granted for the suspects residence. The search yielded seven grams of suspected crack cocaine, two suspected ecstasy pills, an estimated 10 ounces of suspected marijuana and $12,991 in cash. Three guns were also taken into evidence along with various pieces of drug paraphernalia.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Hickman Police Department and Constable Leonard Smith.
