Hickman County’s Goodman earns first at Eagles Classic

The Eagle Classic Cross Country meet was held Oct. 20, at Graves County High School

Fulton County Coach Jamie Madding said, “I’m very proud of our kids today at a hilly and challenging course at Graves County. We had several medalists and a few personal records. I like the focus I see from our kids at this time of the season.”
Results are as follows:

Middle School Girls 3,000 Meter Run from Fulton County and Hickman County in a field of 20 competitors:

Audrey Tucker, first place, Hickman County fifth grader, 13:39.66 and Caylee Slinkard, 18th place, Fulton County sixth grader, 20:13.93.

Elijah Goodman, Hickman County seventh grader, with a time of 11:42.91, won the Middle School Boys 3,000 Meter Run. Other competitors from Fulton County included Schaeffer Sipes, seventh place, fourth grader. There were 25 competing in the meet.

Other competitors from Hickman County included JB Johnson, fifth place, seventh grader, 12:07.19; Bentley Boaz, 16th place, eighth grader, 13:30.87; and Logan Norwood, 19th place, eighth grader, 14:08.37. There were 25 competing in the meet.

The Varsity Girls 5,000 Meter Run was won by Carley Dowdy, Graves County 10th grader at 21:47.21, from a field of 60 runners.

Fulton County runners were: Emma Madding, 10th place, seventh grader, 24:07.93; Marlena Sipes, 11th place, 11th grader; and Callie Coulson, 23rd place, 10th grader, 26:09.27.

Hickman County runners were: Emma Harris, eighth place, ninth grader, 23:42.20; and Kathryn Stahr, 27th place, 10th grader, 26:42.15.

The Varsity Boys 5,000 Meter run had field of 80 competitors.

Isaac Lockwood, Graves County 11th grader won the event with a time of 17:36.81.

Fulton County runners were Isaac Madding, fourth place, 12th grader, 18:17.03; Camden Aldridge, 14th place, 12th grader, 18:49.05; Hayden Murphy, 28th place, 10th grader, 20:07.82; Wesley Brown, 29th place, eighth grader, 20:15.05; Daniel Collins, 43rd place, seventh grader, 21:22.48; Harrison Posey, 48th place, 10th grader, 21:50.73; Jay Sipes, 50th place, ninth grader, 22:21.22; Luke Jackson, 59th place, eighth grader, 22:54.98; Logan Griffiths, 64th place, seventh grader, 24:06.34; and Caleb Collins, 66th place, 10th grader, 24:31.26.

Hickman County team members were Nick Coffey, second place, 12th grader, 17:40.72; Samuel Dodson, 24th place, 10th grader, 19:56.24; Zeke Goodman, 27th place, 12th grader, 20:07.04; David Franklin, 63rd place, ninth place, 23:54.81; Tolley Cole, 67th place, 12th grader, 24:56.95; and Daniel Tacker, 68th place, Hickman County 12th grader, 25:11.09.

Team scores were Fulton County, third place, with 99 points, scores were 3+12+24+25+35 (38+39), times 3:05 1-5 Split, 19:46 Avg.; and Hickman County sixth place, 133 points, scores 2+21+23+43+44 (45), time 7:16 1-5 Split 21:19 Avg.
