Collins named Employee of the Month

(Editor’s Note: The following was submitted by Richard Todd, Hickman County Elementary School Principal)

As different faces have graced the kindergarten hallway over the last few years at Hickman County Elementary, there’s been one constant: Shannon Collins.

Collins was joking recently that it seems as if she’s worked with a different teacher every year for the past five or six years. That’s just about true, as she ticked off the names: Andrea Davis, Meredith Rodgers, Stefanie Tucker, Dana Estes, and now Alison Hayden. However, despite the changes in personnel, each of those teachers has enjoyed a professional and pleasant instructional aide when they’ve been assisted by Collins.

One of the easiest persons to get along with that anyone could ever meet, Collins is usually the first to arrive in the K-1 hallway. She begins prepping for the day, doing whatever is necessary to get things ready for the students that love her.
