Devils win vs. Gleason; SFHS teams lose to Cards

The South Fulton Lady Red Devils and Red Devils hosted the Mayfield Lady Cardinals and Cardinals Jan. 9.

The Lady Red Devils came up short against the Lady Cardinals, 28-20.

Sophia Hodges hit a field goal and five free throws for a total of seven points.

Allison Murphy had a total of six points which came from, two field goals and two free throws.

Nece Quinn had four points from a field goal and two free throws. Kailey Mayo had a field goal and a free throw for her three points.

The Lady Red Devils hit 10 of their 19 free throws, for 53%.

The Red Devils were defeated by the Cardinals, 58-47.

Brock Brown had six field goals, two three point baskets, and hit seven free throws for a total of 25 points on the night.

Beau Britt hit a field goal, a three-point basket, and two free throws for seven points on the night.

Bryce McFarland had six points which came from two field goals and two free throws.

Jordan Brown hit a three-point basket for his three points.

Cade Malray, Dylan Jackson, and Rider Whitehead had two points each.

The Red Devils were 68% from the free throw line hitting 15 of 22 free throws.

The Lady Red Devils and Red Devils were scheduled to travel to Gleason Jan. 10, however, the game was rescheduled for Jan. 13.

The Lady Red Devils were defeated by the Gleason Lady Bulldogs.

The Red Devils came out on top with a 65-38 final score.
