Lady Pilots open season with Paducah Tilghman

After having to wait 10 days longer than the boys to start their season, the Fulton County Lady Pilots finally laced up their shoes and hit the hardwood Jan. 15 as they hosted the Paducah Tilghman Lady Tornadoes. The Lady Tornadoes defeated the Lady Pilots 66-40.

The Lady Pilots shot 13-of-31 from the field, and 10-of-21 from the free throw line.

JaMesha Brown led the Lady Pilots in scoring with 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the field.

Also scoring for the Lady Pilots were Hannah Murphy, Emily Scott and Ja Vona Davis with six each, TaKyiah McNeal and Callie Coulson with four each, and Kamesha Windham with two points.

The Lady Pilots were 2-of-4 from behind the three-point line, with Davis and Coulson making one each.

35 rebounds were pulled down by the Lady Pilots, with McNeal and Brown each having a team-high eight rebounds, followed by Davis with seven, Scott with five, Coulson and Murphy with two, and Windham with one.

The Lady Pilots will host the Mayfield Lady Cardinals Jan. 19, before traveling to take on the Ballard Memorial Lady Bombers Jan. 21 and their cross-town rivals Fulton City Lady Bulldogs Jan. 22.
