Mr. Thomas “Tommy” Clark Bennett, 79, of Ful-ton, Ky. passed away Mon-day, August 8, 2022, at the Baptist Hospital East in Memphis, Tenn.

He was born on December 16, 1942, in Obion County, Tenn. to the late Buford and Maudie Belle Clark Bennett.

Tommy was a member of Crutchfield United Method-ist Church and was a self-employed farmer. He received the Goodyear Conservation Award in 1974 and in 1978 he received the Master Con-servation Award.

He is survived by his wife, Scarlet Turner Ben-nett, who he married June 3, 1962; two daughters, Tam-my (David) Elliott of Mil-burn, Ky., and Tonya (Shane) Brockwell of Ful-ton, Ky.; five grandchildren, Danielle (Justin) Potter of Loveland, Colo., Derik (Madison) Elliott of Mil-burn, Ky., Morgan (Quincy) Elliott of West Paducah, Ky., Cayce (Jason) Batts of Beelerton, Ky., and Cade Brockwell of Fulton, Ky.; six great-grandchildren, Ca-son Potter of Loveland, Colo., Addynn Potter of Loveland, Colo., Channing Elliott of Milburn, Kylie Elliott of Milburn, Ky., Camden Gamble of West Paducah, Ky., and Sophia Gamble of West Paducah, Ky.; and a sister, Barbara (Joel) Nabors of South Ful-ton.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, James Bennett and Charles Bennett.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Au-gust 12, 2022, in Fulton’s Hornbeak Funeral Home Funeral Chapel, with burial to follow in the Pleasant View Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 11.
