Pinning for Vietnam Veterans Oct. 18
The Marshall Alexander American Legion, Post 72 of Fulton, in conjunction with the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, will conduct a Vietnam 50th Anniversary Pinning Ceremony Oct. 18, from 1-4 p.m. at downtown Fulton’s Pontotoc Park community building.
The commemoration, “A Lasting Memento of the Nation’s Thanks” will provide Vietnam Veterans Lapel Pins to commemorative partners, for a dignified public presentation to living United States Veterans who served during the Vietnam War period, as a lasting gesture of the nation’s gratitude for their service.
The pins and certificates will be provided to any living U.S. Veteran who served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces from Nov. 1, 1955 through may 15, 1975, regardless of location, and are free to all those who attend.
Pins and certificates will be furnished by the Paducah Chapter of The National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution.
