AREA OBITUARIES -- JANICE KAY HUMPHREYS
Mrs. Janice Kay Humphreys age 82, of the Fulgham community passed away on Sat., Jan. 27, 2024, at her residence.
She was born in Martin, Tenn. on Nov. 3, 1941, to the Late Robert Leon Barber and Margaret Lee Wilson Barber.
Mrs. Humphreys had been a Registered Nurse with the Fulton Hospital and later for the Parkway Regional Hospital in Fulton, Ky.
She is survived by her husband Mr. Clifford Dale Humphreys who she married in 2013, a daughter, Laura Lee Rogers Smith (David) of Knoxville, Tenn., a step-son, Clifford Dale Humphreys Jr. of Fulgham, Ky., a step-son, Kenneth Lee Humphreys of Fulgham, Ky., two step-daughters; Tracey Lynn Marclay of Louisville, Ky. and Kimberly Jean Kimbell of Clinton, Ky., 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, a sister, Margaret Nell Barber (Bobby) Scott of Martin, Tenn. and a brother, Robert Mac Barber of Martin, Tenn..
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her first husband, Paul Edward Rogers and a son, Paul Edward
"Buddy" Rogers Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wed. Jan., 31, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Clinton, Ky. with Pastor Tim Purdue and Bro. Michael Blake officiating. Burial will follow in the Eastside Cemetery in Martin, Tenn. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Tues., Jan. 30, 2024, at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton. Mrs. Humphreys will lie in state Wednesday morning, Jan. 31, from 11 a.m. at the Clinton First Baptist Church until the service time.
