AREA OBITUARIES – Dottie Wade

Dottie Wade, age 86, of South Fulton, Tenn., passed away Saturday morning, April 6 at the Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, Ky.

She was born in Fulton, Ky. to the late Jimmy McClendon and Clara D. (Smith) McClendon on Nov. 7, 1937.

She was a member of the Fulton Cumberland Presbyterian Church in South Fulton, Tenn. Dottie was a homemaker and lived most of her life in this area. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 57 years.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Gordon Wade, whom she married Nov.23, 1955 in Corinth, Miss.; two sons, James Craig (Vickie) Wade, of Hendersonville, Tenn., and David Gordon (Kathy) Wade, of Cadiz, Ky.; one daughter, Lisa Gayle (Karl) Lattimore, of Huntsville, Ala.; six grandchildren, Ashley (Alex) Fawbush, of Dunedin, Fla., Christy (Ricardo) Sanchez, of O’Fallon, Ill., Amanda (Kris) Kolstad of Sterling, Va., Kayla (James) Adkins, of Watertown, Tenn., Karl (Yvette) Lattimore, of Ft. Milton, Fla., and Kourtney (Richard) Ennis, of Mud Tavern, Ala.; and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tues., April 9, 2024 at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in the Obion County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Mon., April 8.
