AREA OBITUARIES -- JAMES LEE JOHNSON

Mr. James Lee Johnson, 50, of Fulton, Ky., passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born June 18, 1971 in Chicago, Ill., to the late John Johnson and Carla Bates Watson.

James was a member of the Chief Cornerstone Baptist Church in Mayfield, Ky., and was a United States Army veteran, where he served in Iraq and Desert Storm. He was also a Jailhouse Minister and lived all of his life in this area.

He is survived by a daughter, Rachel Johnson; and a sister, Nancy (Gary) Nottingham of Leitchfield, Ky.

Graveside services and military honors will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 24, at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, Ky. Visitation will be held at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.
