AREA OBITUARIES -- CHARLES HAILEY

Mr. Charles G. Hailey of South Fulton, Tenn. passed away Friday, June 3, 2022 at Fulton Nursing and Rehab.

Charles was born on Oct. 29, 1942 in Obion County, Tenn. to Carmi Hailey and Mary Adelle Counsell Hailey.

He had served in the National Guard in Dresden, Tenn. for six years and was a member of South Fulton United Methodist Church. He had been employed for 47 years at Turner Dairies/Prairie Farms and retired in 2007.

Charles had lived in this area most of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Pruiett Hailey, to whom he was married Sept. 3, 1969, a daughter, Kim (Bobby) Wade of Staunton, Va., four grandchildren, Cherish Gordon of South Fulton, Jacob (Marie) Wade of Staunton, Va., Joseph Hailey of Martin, Tenn., Joshua Hailey of Clarksville, Tenn., four great-grandchildren, two brothers, Bobby (Sydney) Hailey of Fulton, Ky., Danny (Lisa) Hailey of South Fulton, a sister, Marjorie Collins of Paducah, Ky. and several nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Charles Scott Hailey, two brothers, Bruce Hailey and Ed Hailey.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 5 in the funeral chapel of Hornbeak Funeral Home of Fulton, with burial to follow at the Obion County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at 12 noon Sunday until the service hour.
